Floral water, also known as hydrosol, is the gentle and aromatic water that comes from the steam distillation of flowers or plants during essential oil production. It contains small amounts of essential oil and natural plant compounds, giving it a light scent and mild skin benefits. It can be used 100% or replace some of the water content in cosmetic formulation. In cosmetics, floral water is often used in toners, facial mists, and creams to help hydrate, soothe, and refresh the skin.
